Both Bob Castleman and son, Robert Jerod Castleman are requesting that the November trial dates be delayed. Both are charged on Methamphetamine charges stemming from what is being described by prosecutors as a drug ring.
Others indicted in the case have already entered pleas and been sentenced except for the Castlemans and Thomas Watson. Watson is scheduled for court and has not requested an extension.
Travis Perkins was also indicted, Perkins was shot to death in Pocahontas just days before he was scheduled to testify in Federal Court. The murder is still unsolved.
According to court filings, Castleman and others ran a Methamphetamine Drug Ring for over 6 years, beginning in 2007.
