On August 10, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Hutton (35) of Imboden for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Pocahontas Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
The arrest stems from a 911 call at a residence in the Imboden area. The caller advised that Hutton had threatened 2 people with a 12 gauge shotgun and had put the shotgun to one of the victims head and told them he would “put one between her eyesâ€. Hutton then left the residence.
Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the victims. Both victims gave statements about the incident and told deputies that Hutton was on his way to Pocahontas. Pocahontas Police and Randolph County Deputies were advised to be on the lookout for Hutton. A short time later Hutton was in custody in Randolph County.
A Lawrence County deputy went to Randolph County Detention Center and picked up Hutton. The 12 gauge shotgun was also retrieved that was in Hutton’s possession at the time of his arrest.
Hutton was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
On the way to the jail Hutton told the deputy he was just trying to scare them.
