(Walnut Ridge, Ark.) – Nuttin’ But Talent, the talent competition of the Beatles at the Ridge music festival, is expanding this year. The contest will now feature two categories, music and dance, with the winner of the music section opening for festival headliner BritBeat.
Nuttin’ But Talent, sponsored by Walmart of Walnut Ridge, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 21. It will be featured on the Cavenaugh Chevrolet Rock ‘n’ Roll Highway Stage.
Prizes for each category will be $250 for first place, $150 for second place, $100 for third place and $50 for peoples choice. The music category will be held first, followed by the dance category.
Limit of 10 entries per category, and alternates will be taken in case of no-shows. Each contestant/group will have five minutes to perform and will be timed.
The winner of the music category will open the first act for BritBeat, the headliner band, Saturday evening around 8:30 p.m. on the Cavenaugh Chevrolet Rock n’ Roll Hwy Stage.
Beatles at the Ridge opens Friday night, September 20, and continues all day September 21 in downtown Walnut Ridge.
