On June 11, 2013 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jackie Parish age 36 of Black Rock for
violation of probation and drug paraphernalia. The arrest comes from deputies receiving information
from a concerned citizen that Parish was using meth. Deputies contacted Parish’s probation officer
about the information of meth use. The probation officer called Parish in for a surprise drug test. Parish
tested positive for meth and told the officers that she had done meth two days before which was a
violation of her probation and terms of suspended imposition of sentence (SIS). Deputies then took
Parish to her residence in Black Rock where drug paraphernalia used to ingest meth and marijuana was
discovered. Parish was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
