In a final meeting with Texas Equusearch at the Walnut Ridge Police Complex, Chief Thatcher and Sheriff Dotson met with representatives of the Texas Equusearch Group. Chief Thatcher was presented with copies of all the search volunteer information and maps of areas searched by the group and it’s volunteers.
Volunteers were out over the weekend, combing the trails and back roads in the county, still searching for missing 14 year old Sidney Randall.
Sheriff Dotson stated that Monday morning Sheriff Tribble from Randolph County were looking for signs of Sidney Randall along the Randolph/Lawrence County line.
In separate statements by both Chief Thatcher of the WRPD and Sheriff Dotson of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, each stated that Texas Equusearch leaving Lawrence County in no way means the search is over. Both departments vow to continue to research any and all leads in the case. Both the WRPD and LCSO have had officers in the field each and every day since the search began.
According to both agencies, Texas Equusearch was a vital tool in the search for the missing teen and their help was greatly appreciated.
If you have any information in the disappearance of Sidney Randall, please contact the Walnut Ridge Police Department or the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
