Searchers on Friday cleared several places of interest in Lawrence  County with no new leads. Deputies used ATV’s and searched mile after mile of  farm/field roads, county roads and private land.
Dive Team Members cleared the area of Running Water Creek and Hwy  63, boats were used to drag the area, kayaks and divers also combed the area  with nothing to report. The Pocahontas Dive Team was called in for assistance,  they used sonar on Clear Lake and also cleared the area of the Black River from  Old Davidsonville down to Black Rock. The LCSO boat was put in at the Dixie Lee  Access and cleared the river all the way north to Black Rock.
WRPD and LCSO working together, followed up on any tips that came  into the Lawrence County Dispatch Center. Sheriff Dotson stated on Friday  afternoon that the Lawrence County Mounted Patrol would be out Saturday checking  trails and county roads. Sheriff Dotson also said that deputies would be  following up on any new information but at this time, nothing new has come into  the dispatch center. He also renewed his request for property owners to check  their property and report to the Dispatch Center that the areas are clear, this  helps officers know what areas have been checked.
