The icy weather on Thursday had many of us in Northeast Arkansas on edge and wondering if this would result in a re-cap of the ice storm of 2009.
The inclement weather conditions resulted in several closings for the day. Sloan-Hendrix School , Imboden Area Charter School, Bobbie Jean Memorial Library, and the postponement of the AA Regional Tournament at the Sloan-Hendrix Campus. (the revised schedule is here on Imboden Live)
Luckily, while we saw plenty of ice on the trees yesterday afternoon and a few short-term power outages we escaped any major damage here in Lawrence County.
In Imboden, the entire town lost power when a power line fell across Hwy 63.  The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department did a great job of redirecting traffic as Entergy worked to quickly restore power. In less than two hours  the lights were back on here in Imboden.
Roads were clear for the most part with no major accidents reported.
