According to sources in Randolph County, a World War II era explosive device was discovered by a property owner as he was clearing some brush. The device was buried next to a tree and unearthed by the homeowner.
A unit form the United States Air Force Bomb Squad has taken possession of the device and moved it to a safe location at the Randolph County Landfill to diffuse. There were no reported injuries in the incident.
