At 6:17 pm on Monday , Lawrence County Dispatch received several 911 calls of a three vehicle accident , semi vs passenger car and pickup truck on Hwy 63 and 228 in Sedgwick.
The Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department, Walnut Ridge Fire Department, AET Ambulance , Medic One, and Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies responded and discovered a passenger car underneath the semi truck. The victim in the passenger car,whose name has not been released, was extricated by fire fighters.
Several lanes of Hwy 63 were shut down.
The victim of the passenger car was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
The accident is being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
Sheriff’s deputies and Firefighters were cleared from the scene at 7:40 pm.
