A woman on McHenry County Illinois Top Ten Fugititve list since June was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced Thursday the arrest of Sarah E. Frye, also known as Sarah E. Weed.
Frye, 32, was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for endangering the life of a child and theft. She also was wanted on a felony theft arrest warrant from Winnebago County, Ill., a civil arrest warrant from Ogle County, Ill., and a traffic arrest warrant from Rockford Il.
The Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 16, 2007, obtained an arrest warrant for Frye for not successfully completing stipulations for a 2004 theft and an endangering-the-life-of-a-child case. Efforts to locate Frye once the arrest warrants were issued proved unsuccessful and her whereabouts were unknown.
Looking for assistance from the public, Frye was added to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Top Ten Fugitive List on June 20, 2012.
Last month, investigators of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Apprehension Unit received a tip that Frye was living in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Working with investigators from the McHenry County Sheriff, the Pocahontas Police Department took Frye into custody on Wednesday.
Frye currently is incarcerated at the Randolph County Correctional Facility in Arkansas and is awaiting extradition back to McHenry County Illinois .
