At 2:41 pm on Monday, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a female victim with her arm trapped in what was described as a belt at Hankins Farm on Lawrence 288. Units from the Strawberry Fire Department, Lynn Fire Department and AET Ambulance from Imboden responded to the scene.
Once on scene, sources stated a 2 year old female victim had her hand and arm trapped in a piece of machinery and had 3 fingers amputated in the accident. AET medics requested a medical helicopter from Air-Evac to respond to the scene. Firefighters set up a landing zone on Lawrence 288 for the Air-Evac unit. The victim was freed from the machinery by responders and flown to an area hospital for treatment. The victims name has not been released.
