Lawrence County Investigating An Apparent Stabbing In Clover Bend
At 5:15 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the Dixie Lee Access Area near Clover Bend. AET Ambulance, Clover Bend Fire Department and Lawrence County Deputies were sent to the scene.
Once Clover Bend Firefighters made contact, it was reported that two subjects were intercepted in a vehicle and both injured, one in the neck and one on the wrist. The subjects gave a vehicle description of the alleged suspect who injured the two. Deputies were also contacted by witnesses concerning the event. The story told to officers was that the men were attacked by two men allegedly trying to steal items from the victims.
The Lawrence County Dispatch put out a BOLO (Be On The Look Out) for the suspect vehicle. After speaking with witnesses, a Lawrence County Deputy returned to the scene and arrested one of the two men who made the original claim shortly after 6 pm. The other was transported to Lawrence Memorial by AET Ambulance. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division was called to investigate the entire incident.
