The Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and AET Ambulance were dispatched to 2409 Hwy 115 in Annieville after a 911 call was received by the Lawrence County Dispatch reporting an accident involving two motorcycles at 3:48 pm on Sunday.

Imboden Assistant Chief Jim Jones was one of the first on scene and along with medics from AET Ambulance requested two medical helicopters to transport victims.

According to reports, one motorcycle lost control while negotiating a curve, the driver of the the motorcycle landed in the highway and was struck by a second motorcycle, throwing a passenger on the second motorcycle off into the highway.

AET Ambulance dispatched a second ambulance to assist as firefighters and medics on scene attended to the injured. Deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office closed Hwy 115 for more than an hour while helicopters arrived and the patients were loaded. According to sources on scene, the injured were flown to The Med in Memphis.

The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the second motorcycle was uninjured. Dail’s Wrecker Service removed the first motorcycle from the scene, the second appeared to have little or no damage.

According to reports, Rhonda Kay Davis of Black Rock and Tina M. Cardwell of Smithville were both air-lifted to area hospitals, the driver of the 2nd motorcycle, Stephen Ray Davis was uninjured.
