Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for missing 5 year old Abigail Bertholf who went missing around 6:50 am from her bedroom on Wood Street in Poplar Bluff early Wednesday according to Police.
Authorities say she may have been abducted by 46 year old Jeffery Dean Shelton of Poplar Bluff, a convicted sex offender.
Authorities do not have a direction of travel but stated that Shelton was seen leaving the area with Abigail by his side on Wood Street.
Shelton is described as 6 feet tall, 170 lbs, green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen driving a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with Missouri tags PJ8-Z5M.

Shortly after 2 pm, the Poplar Bluff Police released a statement that Shelton and Abigail Bertholf were found together, the 5 year old was said to be unharmed.
