According to the Arkansas State Police, two former Imboden area residents were killed in a head-on accident at 1:13 pm Tuesday afternoon on Hwy 226 in Jackson County.
According to the report, Andrea R. Benham and Felicia J. Davis were both killed when their vehicle, a 2001 Nissan collided with a Mack dump truck driven by Kevin Long of Newport in what the Arkansas State Police describes as a “Head On Accidentâ€.
Also injured in the accident were two minor children, a 7 month old and 2 year old, both were airlifted to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
The driver of the dump truck, Kevin Long was reported as uninjured. According to Arkansas State Police, all were wearing their seatbelts.
