TOWN OF IMBODEN MINUTES September 10, 2012
Imboden City Council met in regular session Monday night, September 10, 2012 @ 7:00 PM in the Imboden Fire Station.
Recorder-Treasurer Steve Jones gave each member a copy of the minutes of the August 13, 2012 meeting. Motion was made by Preston Clark and seconded by Gene Ponder that the minutes be approved as presented. The minutes were approved by voice vote as presented. Financial statements and monthly expenditures were approved by the council.
Old Business of Clean-up notices have been sent to the residents/owners of properties located on the corner of South Walnut and East First , property on North Main, and  106 S Virginia. It was reported that some progress had been made  in cleaning up some of those properties.
Joy Richardson, representing the American Red Cross, addressed the Council concerning the American Red Cross using the Imboden Fire Station for blood drives. No action was taken.
The Croom property on 4TH street was discussed. Recorder-Treasurer Jones advised the council that the property is in the name of Mrs. Dru Croom. Council advised Jones to take necessary action to find out if Mrs. Croom has any heirs to be contacted concerning the property.
The  Water and Sewer Report was given by Terry Smith, water superintendent. Smith advised the Council that lighting had struck the computer at the Highway 63 well site and it was out of order and the wells were being operating manually. Council advised Smith to take necessary action to get the computer repaired and pay for repairs out of the Water Deprecation Fund.
A commode in the Imboden Medical Clinic has been modified. Estimate was obtained from Bill Stacy Construction on repairs to the floor in the clinic. Estimate was around $4,000. It was agreed by the Council to include this in next years budget and work be done in the early part of 2013.
New Business – Motion made by Dan Matthews and seconded by Preston Clark that Ordinance No., 2012-9 be passed for the continuing mileage of 1.7 mills on all real property and 1.7 mills on all personal property within the corporate limits of the Town of Imboden.
Ordinance passed with all five council persons voting for the ordinance,
Mayor Dearen appointed Rebecca Jones to be the chair of the Personnel Committee and also appointed Dan Matthews and Preston Clark to the committee. He asked them to meet and report at the next meeting on updated personnel policies and job descriptions.
There being to further business the meeting adjourned with the next meeting to be held at the Imboden Fire Station on October 8, 2012 @ 7:00 PM.
