On September 18, 2012 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Mandera (35) and Melanie Mandera (44) of Imboden for delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone), possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. Mr. Mandera was also charged with resisting arrest and felon in possession of a firearm. The arrest stems from an undercover buy that was captured on video at the Mandera residence. That information was presented to a Circuit Judge and a search warrant for the residence was issued. Deputies went to the residence and executed the search warrant. At the residence deputies found nearly a pound of marijuana, hydrocodone pills, scales, baggies, rolling papers, pipes, a gun and cash. Deputies also recovered the marked buy money used in the transaction. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. It was also learned that Mr. Mandera was a convicted felon.
Bond was set at $5,000.00 for Melanie Mandera and $15,000.00 for James Mandera. A Court date of October 1st was set for the couple according to Sheriff Dotson.
