Shortly after 8 am on Thursday, the Lawrence County Dispatch received a report of a one vehicle accident at 3649 Hwy 25 near Lake Charles State Park. The caller reported that one person was trapped in the wreckage.
Black Rock Fire Department, Lynn Fire Department, AET Ambulance of Imboden and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters also requested a helicopter from Air-Evac which was dispatched from West Plains.
Firefighters arrived on scene, confirming the victim was trapped but reported the victim alert and conscious. Extrication was preformed to remove the victim from the vehicle, the medical helicopter was directed to land at the boat ramp at Lake Charles.
The identity of the victim or condition has not been released at this time.
