Monday, authorities in Assumption Parish Louisiana announced that Mitchell Guist, a popular character on History Channel’s Swamp People died while loading something into a boat around 9 am in St. Martin Parish, unconfirmed reports are that Guist suffered a possible seizure, slipped and fell into the Belle River, Mitchell Guist was pronounced dead on arrival at Teche Regional Hospital.

Officials said the cause of death was pending the outcome of an autopsy, but believe the death was health related.
