Drowning Victim Recovered Monday In Horseshoe Bend

 
Divers from the Izard County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Hardy Police Water Rescue Unit, Arkansas Game and Fish and members of the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force assisted in the search for a kayaker that went missing on Crown Lake around 1 pm on Sunday.
 
A 911 call received stated that a kayak had capsized and one person was rescued but a second was still missing. Searchers were on scene until storms and lightning canceled the diving and dragging operations until Monday morning.
 
Around 7:45 am the body of Howard Dickey, 25 of Melbourne was recovered. Conditions during the time of the accident were described as rough lake conditions and strong winds in the area.
