Last week the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested two registered sex offenders for failure to register. Deputies ran registered offenders to make sure all were compliant. Two were not. Deputies tried to contact both by phone and in person. Neither man was able to be contacted. Deputies filed affidavits and warrants were obtained for both. On March 26 deputies arrested Earl Wayne Day (04/28/66) of Smithville and on March 27 deputies arrested Bryan Morgan (10/09/89) of Imboden. Both men were charged with failure to register. Bond was set at $5,000 on each subject and Circuit Court dates of April 25 were issued.
