Several inches of rain in a short period of time has contributed to flooding in Walnut Ridge and other low lying areas throughout Lawrence County.
Sheriff Jody Dotson sent the following photos of the Walnut Ridge Police Department blocking traffic in flooded areas around the Lawrence County Court House today.
Sheriff Dotson urged residents to use extreme caution when roadways are flooded. Low-water bridges will remain covered for possibly the next few days with the potential for even more rainfall in the forecast.
