At 1:57 pm the Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call of a house fire located at 45 Lawrence 245 in Black Rock. The caller advised the rear of the structure was on fire with flames showing.
Black Rock Firefighters responded with two engines to the scene, Black Rock Fire Chief Pat Roby arrived on scene and advised dispatch that the house was fully involved. A request was made for manpower and equipment from the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department to assist.
Imboden responded with it’s Engine 6 and Rescue 4 along with several firefighters. AET Ambulance was also on standby at the scene as was the Black Rock Police Department for traffic control.
The structure was a total loss, a minor injury was reported.
