In an interview with Sheriff Jody Dotson Wednesday, Sheriff Dotson stated he was surprised that few leads had developed in the armed burglary suspect wanted in connection with the December 30th break-ins in Imboden.
Sheriff Dotson stated “ I’m sure someone knows the identity of the suspect or vehicle we are looking forâ€. Sheriff Dotson ask for the public to  help in locating the person involved with this crime. When Imboden business owner walked in his business on Friday the last thing he expected was to be face to face with a burglar armed with a tire tool, but that’s exactly what happened. Doug Swink owner of Foothills Entertainment told Imbodenlive when he entered his building at around 7 am the armed suspect instructed him to walk from the back of the building to the front and stated “he did not want to hurt anyone, he just needed money for his kidsâ€. Swink said there was a few dollars in the drawer but apparently not enough for him to take. After the robber forced Mr. Swink into the front of the business, he fled leaving in a Black Dodge pickup.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 foot 6 inches tall, around 170 pounds wearing a mask, green hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect fled in what is described as a black Dodge pickup truck with trash in the back having a white decal on the rear glass behind the driver. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Detective Andrew Turner ask if anyone has information on this to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
As deputies were investigating this, they discovered a second attempted break in at Pig-N-Out BBQ, Owner Carrie Wilson informed us they arrived to find the back door had a window broken out but the building was not entered and nothing had been taken.
