City of Imboden workers today were working to complete a new 6†water main to the Sloan Hendrix Campus. The joint venture was paid for by both Sloan Hendrix Schools and the City Sales Tax.
Imboden Fire Chief Chris Jones stated that in addition to the 6†main that will serve the Elementary building, the city is adding one new fire hydrant now and has plans to add a second on the line for future fire protection.
The new line will also be used for future buildings planned on the Sloan Hendrix Campus, such as the future Lunch Room and future Class Rooms. The 6†line installed in this project was some 1320 feet with Hickman Excavating digging the trench.
