At 8:20 pm on Sunday evening the Lawrence County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident on Hwy 230 just outside Strawberry with injuries.
Dispatch paged the Strawberry Fire Department and AET Ambulance of Imboden. Lawrence County Deputies were dispatched as well, once on scene the Strawberry Fire Department notified the Lawrence County Dispatch that the accident was two miles out of Strawberry into Sharp County, dispatch notified Sharp County who had officers respond.
Once on scene, Strawberry Firemen gave the AET unit a patient update on the injured 17 year old female who had a possible broken leg, AET requested an Air-Evac Unit be sent to the Strawberry Ball Field where AET took the patient to be flown to the hospital. One the patient was loaded onto the helicopter, AET and the Strawberry Fire Department were back in service at 9:19 pm.
