On December 14, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard Sullivan (11/09/66) of Strawberry on two counts of theft of property by deception and for violation of Arkansas hot check law. The arrest came after 2 Lynn area residents reported that they had been approached by Sullivan to install heat and air units. Both residents paid for the units but they were never installed. Time went by and the units still had not been installed and then they both asked for their money back. Sullivan did not return the money or install the units. The residents reported the incidents to the Sheriff’s Office and investigators took the information and obtained a warrant for Sullivan. Deputies went to Sullivan’s residence and arrested him on the warrant. Sullivan was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. At the jail another warrant was served on Sullivan for the hot check. Sullivan’s bond was set at $5,000 and a Circuit Court date of Jan 18 was issued. Bond for the hot check was set at $257.66 and a District Court date of Jan 13 was issued.
