On November 11th, a Walnut Ridge Officer on patrol noticed a suspicious subject in the area of South East Front and Carolina Street. As soon as the officer approached, the subject fled from the residence. As the officer chased the subject, he ask for assistance on the radio, a Lawrence County Deputy was in the area and along with several Walnut Ridge units began to search the area.
When officer began to investigate the residence where the subject ran from, several components of a meth lab were found. At that time, two more subjects fled the residence on foot. Officers from Walnut Ridge and Lawrence County apprehended Michael Nelson several blocks away after a lengthy foot pursuit. George Bruton was also taken into custody shortly after.
A search of the residence uncovered a second lab. Charges include Possession and Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Meth.
