Sheriff Jody Dotson invites everyone to take part in the Prescription Take Back Program to be held this Saturday, October 29th.

Sheriff Dotson is stepping up his efforts by expanding the program to 3 drop off points in the county. Beginning at 10 am residents can drop off out of date/old prescriptions at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Imboden Substation and at the Iron Mountain Festival.

Sheriff Dotson will have the Lawrence County Command Trailer set up at the Iron Mountain Festival beginning at 8 am.

This program has been a great success for the Sheriff’s Office collecting hundreds of pounds of dangerous prescriptions and preventing them from falling into the wrong hands. Sheriff Dotson also reminds the public that there is a permanent RX Takeback Box located in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office in Walnut Ridge.

The Prescription Take Back Day on October 29th will be the conclusion of Red Ribbon Week here in Lawrence County. Sheriff Dotson is slated to make numerous appearances at area schools throughout the week.
