At 10:22 pm the Lynn Fire Department, AET Ambulance of Imboden and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office were paged by the Lawrence County Dispatch to the scene of a one vehicle accident on Lawrence 269 at the intersection of Lawrence 276. The 911 caller told dispatchers that one person was trapped inside the vehicle.
 
The Lynn Fire Department responded with several units and arrived on scene to find that a 2000 Plymouth Breeze had impacted a bridge on Lawrence 269. AET Ambulance called for Air-Evac while still in route to the accident. Firefighters who first arrived on scene were not able to find any vital signs on the victim and relayed this information to the ambulance.
 
Once AET Ambulance was on scene, the helicopter was cancelled and the Lawrence County Coroner was called. Lawrence County Deputies assisted Cpl. Creston Hutton of the Arkansas State Police as he did his accident investigation.
 
Ray J’s Wrecker Service was called by the Arkansas State Police to remove the vehicle from the bridge. The rear half of the vehicle was hanging out over the bridge rail. The Lynn Fire Department remained on scene and removed all the debris from the roadway once the vehicle was removed.
 
45-year-old Stephen J. Lawson of Strawberry lost control of his 2000 Plymouth on a curve and hit a bridge.
Investigators say Lawson was not wearing a seat belt.
