On September 27, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alisha Webb (08/24/89) of Black Rock for two (2) counts of forgery. The arrest came after a Black Rock area farmer noticed he had 2 checks written on his farm account that he had not authorized. The checks were for $4625.00 and for $475.00. Sheriff’s investigators advised the farmer to go to his bank and fill out affidavits of forgery and then began their investigation. During the course of the investigation Webb came up as a possible suspect. Investigators contacted Webb about the checks. Webb was Mirandize and questioned about the forgeries. Webb admitted to the investigators that she had indeed written the checks and that she was not authorized to do so. Webb was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
