Shortly after 8:30 am Saturday morning, Lawrence County Dispatch received a call of an injured horse rider in the Annieville area. AET Ambulance and the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
 
Firemen found the victim lying on the ground at the “old Annieville store” Paramedics on scene immediately requested an Air-Evac unit to be flown to the scene for the injured rider.
 
Imboden Volunteer Fire Department has an established landing zone at a residence on Hwy 115 just down the road from the accident scene, the helicopter was instructed to land there. At 8:54 am, AET  Ambulance moved the victim from the accident scene to the landing zone to await the arrival of the air unit.
 
At 9:16 am the Air-Evac unit landed in Annieville, the patient was transferred from the AET Ambulance to the helicopter and flown to an area hospital at 9:30 am. The Imboden Fire Department was back in service at that time.
