Game and Fish Officials in Arkansas are staying busy during the prime marijuana growing season in Arkansas. Just last week, 12 Game and Fish Officers assisted Stone County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police and DEA in the seizure of an estimated 20,000 plants.
Similar eradication processes have been held recently in Marion, Baxter, Searcy and Izard counties. Arkansas Game and Fish Officers used ATV’s and foot patrols to access the remote area in which the illegal marijuana was located. Illegal marijuana growth and other types of drug manufacturing are considered to be a danger to the citizens and sportsmen of Arkansas according to Arkansas Game and Fish Officials.
Officials stated it took 3 days to remove the plants from the Stone County last week. The Arkansas National Guard also assisted the operation with the use of their helicopters in the search.
