Sheriff Jody Dotson, Chief Deputy Ted Horton and Captain Stan Finley of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office today moved the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center into place at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The Sheriff has Deputies and Reserve Deputies scheduled to be at the Lawrence County Fair and Rodeo during the entire event. Sheriff Dotson’s Mobile Command gives Deputies a great view of the entire fair with it’s roof mounted camera which is capable of overseeing the fair, rodeo arena and most of the school grounds. The Mobile Command is also outfitted with both a Sheriff’s Department Radio and a Fire Radio.
Sheriff Dotson also plans to have a deputy on duty at the fairgrounds throughout the night. Sheriff Dotson and Imboden Asst. Fire Chief Jim Jones today looked over the Mobile Command as it was set up, Captain Stan Finley delivered the Sheriff’s UTV which will enable deputies to patrol the grounds throughout the events.
