Inmates from the Lawrence County Jail are assisting Lake Charles State park with clean up after Tuesday’s storm. Sheriff Jody Dotson said Thursday that 5 inmates from the Lawrence County Jail were at the Lake Charles State Park helping clear debris left behind from the powerful storms.
Lake Charles State Park is still closed due to the damage but with help from the inmates hopes to reopen for the busy July 4th weekend.
