Construction on the new Sloan Hendrix Elementary 3rd and 4th Grade classrooms nears completion. Supt. Mitch Walton informs us that the completion date is July 15th for the 5400 Square Foot addition.
The new building houses four classrooms that are 1000 square feet each, a wide hallway and two shared bathrooms for each class. Workers were painting and finishing work on the classrooms when we toured them today.
Mr. Walton stated the completion of these classrooms will help with schools added students that came in when the Twin Rivers School District was closed. Mr. Walton stated though crowded at times the students and teachers did a great job to accommodate the sudden growth.
