On June 10, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept. arrested Jonathan Gustafson (01/20/85) of Portia for failure to register as a sex offender. The arrest came after Investigators were working up a case file on Gustafson on some recent thefts and found out he was a convicted sex offender that had not registered. Gustafson had been living in Delight, AR and was registered there but had moved to Lawrence County without notifying anyone of his address. Gustafson had been living in Lawrence County several weeks and is a level 2 sex offender. The information gathered was used to obtain a warrant for Gustafson for failure to register. Gustafson is currently in the Lawrence County Jail on a $50,000 bond for the theft charges and a Circuit Court date of June 29.
