IACS Picnic and last Day of School at Lake Charles
Students, staff, parents , and grandparents traveled to Lake Charles State Park for the annual family day
end-of-year celebration at the Imboden Area Charter School. Students attended a program presented
by rangers at the park in the Nature Center where they saw various amphibians, and creatures native to
Arkansas’s water and forests. Students then were taken on a nature walk around the lake. After the walk
everyone was treated to all the hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cookies , drinks and watermelon they could
consume. Students with parent permission were allowed to go swimming in the swimming area under
the close supervision of school staff and parents and grandparents who attended. Everyone returned
home at the close of the regular school day.
