Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Arrest 4 For Burglary, Breaking and Entering and more…..
On May 26, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept arrested Franklin Carothers (04/19/90) of Portia, Jonathan Gustafson (01/20/85) of Delight, Derrick Mullen (11/11/80) of Hoxie and a male juvenile for residential burglary, breaking and entering, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, theft of recyclable material and theft of property. The arrest came after the Lawrence County Communications Center received a call from a Black Rock resident advising that some of his property had been broken into, destroyed and also stolen. Deputies went and took the report and gathered information to get a lead. That lead was followed up on and the subjects were found at a scrap yard in Randolph County. Deputies went to the scrap yard and were able to identify several items that had been taken. Several of the items were recovered by the deputies. The suspects were placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. Mullen and Carothers are both already on probation.
