On May 15, 2011 the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept responded to a break in call at Mcleods Grocery store at Imboden. Deputies responded and found the front door was broken to gain entry into the building. Between $7,000 and $8,000 in items and damage to the building was reported. Items ranged from cigarettes, flashlights, money and several other items were taken. The break in took place sometime between closing at midnight Saturday and opening Sunday morning. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dept is working with Hardy Police Dept and the Sharp County Sheriff’s Dept on similar break ins. J & P flash market the owners of the store has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction.
