Supt. Mitch Walton of Sloan Hendrix Schools honored both the Imboden and Ravenden Volunteer Fire Departments Friday evening at the 2011 Graduation Ceremony.
Walton credited the quick action of the fire departments for saving many of the schools band instruments. The fire happened on August 12th shortly before 1pm, the SHHS Band Room suffered extensive damage in the blaze, no injuries resulted from the fire.
Several firemen from both departments were on hand Friday night to accept the awards which will be displayed in each of the fire departments.
