According to Arkansas State Police Trooper Creston Hutton, one lane of Hwy 63 has been re-opened in an effort to relieve traffic and restore travel between the Imboden/Black Rock area and Walnut Ridge.

It has been a long week for Lawrence County Deputies, Arkansas State Police, Local Fire Departments and Arkansas Highway Department workers.

Story after story was been told of people having to drive to Batesville, Newport and other distances just to reach Walnut Ridge or Jonesboro. With the re-opening of Hwy 63 things should start to get back to normal.

We still advice that you use caution in low-lying areas and be aware that not all roads are reopened.

As of 1pm Sunday, our understanding is that one lane of Hwy 63 is open between Black Rock and Hoxie, Hwy 67 between Pocahontas and Reyno has also reopened. Hwy 67 south of Pocahontas is still closed as well as parts of hwy 412.

A Big Thanks to Imbodenlive.com readers Stan Finley of Black Rock and Jim Jones of Imboden for submitting these photo’s of the flooding on Hwy. 63.
