Rocky Chappell of Imboden has been promoted by Sheriff Jody Dotson to Sargent. Chappell a 2002 graduate of Sloan Hendrix is the son of Joe and Linda Chappell of Imboden. Rocky is married to Heather and has two children, Haley and RJ.
Chappell, who started in the Lawrence County Dispatch Center, then went on to work in the Jail graduated the Law Enforcement Academy in 2009. Chappell was also a Reserve Officer while working in the Jail.
When asked what his favorite part of the job, Chappell replied “Helping the people of Lawrence County”. Chappell is also a member of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department.
