Sheriff Jody Dotson reports the Prescription Take Back Box located in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office is filling up. In only a few weeks the box has collected 21.5 pounds of pills. As Sheriff Dotson describes it, “That’s alot of pills that will never hit the streets or get into the hands of our children”.
The box is an anonymous way to discard out-of-date or unwanted prescription drugs. “It’s a no questions asked way for residents to get rid of these drugs” says Dotson.
