At 3:45 pm on Monday the Imboden Fire Department was paged to the scene of a large wildland fire in Annieville close to several houses and barns.
Imboden arrrived on the scene at Brian and Kim Keough’s home to find flames all around the house and barn. Imboden Chief Chris Jones called for mutual aid from both the Ravenden and Smithville Volunteer Fire Departments and requested AET Ambulance of Imboden to standby on the scene.
As firefighters protected the Keough residence, winds shifted and the fire started in the direction of the Fred Holder residence. Crews were able to protect the structures and extinguish the remainder of the fire with the help of Smithville and Ravenden’s Brush Trucks and firefighters.
