Saturday Jan.29th a group of friends gathered at the home of George and Margaret Stallings. The reason for the early morning meeting was to build a ramp for George who is undergoing treatment for cancer and confinded to a wheelchair for the time being.
Friends helping included Bill Stacy, Brian Stacy, Jim Jones, Denny Durham, Gerald Powell, Davis Matthews and Hershel Gilliam. The ramp is 16′ long and 4′ wide with rails. It will enable to George to easily enter and exit his home. The material was paid for by Dan Matthews.
George is scheduled to return home late next week and will then begin his treatments.
