Sheriff Jody Dotson reports the arrest of an Alicia man for Rape, Incest and sexual indecency with a minor.
The arrest of Billy Joe Allen of Alicia came after a report to the child abuse hotline. Investigators from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department started investigating the case.
Allen confesses the crimes to investigators during the investigation. The victim of the crime was an 11 year old female. Allen was placed under arrest after confessing and was transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. Allen’s Bond was set at $25,000.00 and a January 19th Circuit Court date was issued.
