The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Viola Arkansas man is facing 5 felony charges and 113 misdemeanor charges that stems from the discovery of 117 neglected horses.
Sheriff’s deputies charged 49 year old Rodney Dean Kankey with the charges after several horses escaped from Kankey’s farm and roamed the highway. One horse died of starvation according to Veterinarian Rhonda Windham.
If convicted Kankey faces up to 6 years in prison and a $10,000.00 fine for each of the felony charges and a $1000.00 fine and up to a year in prison for each misdemeanor charge.
