2010 was a busy year for ImbodenLive, The City of Imboden and surrounding area. Here are just a few of the more than 400 stories covered in the past year.

January 1st the City of Imboden launches the cities first website, www.ImbodenArkansas.Com

January 12th, Chief Chris Jones of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department announces the City of Imboden recieves is Class 4 ISO rating, improving the rating from the previous Class 5 rating.

February 6th, Vandals cause damage to several properties including Sloan Hendrix and Hope Cemetery with vehicles.

February 6th, Imboden Medical Pharmacy has an attempted break-in.

February 10th, locals hear the news that Twin Rivers School District will be shut down by the Arkansas Board of Education.

February 19th, Lawrence County Deputies apprehend an armed man in Imboden.

March 5th, a building in downtown Black Rock collapses killing several pets.

March 16th, the City of Imboden places a Dog Ordinance in the city limits.

March 26th, ImbodenLive host the first HD video of Lawrence County candidates, including Sheriff’s, Judge and State Representative candidates.

April 14th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office makes a large drug arrest in Imboden.

May 26th, Sloan Hendrix Alumni holds it’s 88th Annual Alumni Banquet.

June 2nd, the Bobbie Jean Memorial Library kicks off its annual “Summer Reading Program”.

June 8th, Election Results for Lawrence County are announced. Jody Dotson wins the Democratic Sheriff Runoff in Lawrence County.

2010 brings “Zumba” and Misty’s Zumba to the Imboden area.

June 13th, a Smithville youth confesses to a 2009 murder.

June 19th, Lawrence County is placed under a “Heat Advisory” with temperatures looming around 100 degrees for a total of 5 days.

June 19th, local writer Darlene Martin holds a book signing at the Bobbie Jean Memorial Library.

July 5th, City of Imboden’s 4th of July Fireworks Show is a “Big Hit”.

July 8th, Imboden and Ravenden Fire Departments respond to a head-on two vehicle wreck with serious injuries North of Ravenden.

July 8th, 5 Fire Departments fight a large fire in Hoxie, including the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department.

July 17th, storms damage property in the Imboden area.

Late July, traffic in the Imboden area is slowed by several road projects in the area.

Early August, Imboden, Black Rock and Ravenden are all hit with power outages in extreme heat.

August 1st, 115 year old Imboden Church joins the World Wide Web at www.ImbodenUMC.com

August 7th, Black Rock Volunteer Fire Department battles a Church Fire on 8th Street.

August 12th, Sloan Hendrix Band Room damaged by fire.

August 20th, The Lawrence County Fair is under way!

August begins the popular “Boss Hog Challenge” from Pig-N-Out BBQ

August 30th, Imboden, Ravenden and Smithville battle a huge hay fire at the Imboden Feed Store.

September 27th, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department holds it’s RX Take Back Day.

October 2010, Imboden Volunteer Fire Department appoints a committee to plan the Christmas Parade for 2010.

October 16th, Celebration in the Park is held in Imboden.

October 16th, Imboden welcomes the Fallen Heroes Memorial

November 1st, Halloween Block Party in Imboden is a HUGE HIT!

November 4th, Vehicle Runs Into House In Imboden.

December 5th, The Imboden Christmas Parade Has A Larger Than Expected Turn Out!

December marks the 28th anniversary of the 1982 Flood.

Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department assist in a wreck at Hwy 63 and 58.

December 17th, Churches respond to families in need by providing food and gifts .
