The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Jerry Forshey of the Ravenden area for possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture meth and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use.
The arrest came after deputies responded to a 911 call of a fight in progress at a residence off Lawrence County Road 106 near Ravenden. When deputies arrived they made contact with Forshey who was bloody from a fight. Forshey told deputies about who he had been in a fight with and that the man had fled into the woods as the deputies arrived. Deputies searched for the man but we unable to to locate him. The man was identified as Larry Gibby by Forshey.
While at the residence deputies noticed the makings of a “Shake and Bake” meth lab and a HCL generator used in the final steps of manufacturing meth. Deputies received consent from Forshey to search the rest of the property. Deputies found several other items used in the manufacture and ingestion of meth.
Forshey was placed under arrest and transported to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing. Bond was set at $10,000.00 and a Circuit Court date of January 19th was given. Information provided by Forshey was used to obtain a warrant for Larry Gibby.
